A red multiplayer marker can be cosmetic when client-only mods are present.

A blocky starter camp with crafting supplies, backpacks, farms, and a river.

First Hour

Start small, mark everything, and pick land with room to become a town.

  • Set a temporary camp and mark it on Xaero's Minimap.
  • Gather wood, stone, coal, wool, food, and starter tools.
  • Make Sophisticated Backpacks early.
  • Use JEI for recipes instead of guessing.
  • Choose a MineColonies site with water, flat land, and expansion space.
  • Place early Waystones only at important locations.

Server Roles

Give everyone a job without locking anyone into a lane.

These roles help the server move together. Players can swap whenever the story calls for it.

Colony Founder

Plans the MineColonies settlement, build style, roads, warehouse, farms, and guard towers.

Explorer

Maps biomes, caves, sea routes, structures, saplings, crops, and loot using compass tools.

Dragon Scout

Searches for roosts, marks danger, and builds safe observation posts near dragon country.

Quartermaster

Organizes backpacks, shared storage, tools, armor, map supplies, and expedition kits.

Cook and Farmer

Builds farms, kitchens, food crates, animal pens, and long-trip meals with Farmer's Delight.

Guardian

Handles combat gear, guard posts, patrol routes, dungeon pushes, and corpse recovery runs.

Progression

A campaign arc for the whole server.

Phase 1

Camp To Town

Build starter camp, storage, town hall, builder hut, warehouse, food source, and a first dock.

Phase 2

The Colony Breathes

Upgrade builders, couriers, miner, farmer, lumberjack, roads, lights, walls, and guard towers.

Phase 3

Map The World

Build ships, chart the coast, find biomes and structures, and create a responsible Waystone network.

Phase 4

Dragon Country

Locate dragon points of interest, mark roosts, build lookouts, and create a research hall.

Phase 5

Dungeons And Relics

Clear major structures, explore Alex's Caves, hunt Artifacts, and build a trophy room.

Dragon Country

Scout first, fight later.

Dragon territory should become a server event, not a sprint into rare loot. Mark roosts, travel in pairs, build fallback paths, and keep major discoveries shared.

Dungeons

Make expeditions deliberate.

Bring food, shields, blocks, spare tools, and a recovery plan. Announce big dungeon runs, leave signs when a structure is partly cleared, and use Lootr-friendly chest etiquette.

Major Systems

The mods that shape moment-to-moment play.

MineColonies

Build a real town with workers, roads, storage, jobs, guards, farms, and upgrades.
